Gajanan Shepal
At present Gajanan Shepal is writing book on Indian Art Hisotry in Marathi and his two more books - "compilation of reviews written in Samana since 2000" & "Interviews of senior aritsts" - are under publication (Chinar Publication).
He started his teaching career from Chitralila Niketan, Pune and then joined Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune. At Present he is a faculty member in Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art., Mumbai.
He has participated in several competitions and was awarded several prizes, specially for his posters such as 'Sankalp' , 'Unmesh' , 'Aakar' , 'Saurabh', "Literacy", 'National Integrity' and has been interviewed by Sahyadri Channel of Doordarshan on winning prize at state level competition organised by Health Dept, Maharashtra State & Doordarshan.
GajananShepal was honoured with "Rashtrapati Award" by then president of India Dr.Shankar Dayal Sharma in 1993 for his painting on Mahatma Jotiba Phule which was accepted at national level.
He has exhibited his works in many group exhibitions organised by AIFACS India, Camlin Art Competition, Bombay Art Society, Nehru Center Art Gallery (Chatak) Mumbai, Kalidas Fastival Competition(M.P), Bajaj Art Gallery, Mumbai, D.C.B. Gallery, Mumbai, Minu Dey Gallery, Mumbai, StanChart Art Gallery, Mumbai.

Gajanan Shepal Graduated in appllied art with first class from Marathwada University in 1989 and obtained Bachelor in journalism with first class from the same university in 1990 & Bachelor in social science from Pune university.
He is writing on art since 1988 in varous Marathi publications., such as Daily Newspapers Lokmat published from Aurangabad, Pudhari published from Kolhapur.
He is Writing regular reviews on art since 2000, in Marathi Daily Samana published from Mumbai and Ratnagiri Times, published from Ratnagiri.
