Mahendra Damle has written weekly art reviews on various exhibitions from 1999 to 2001 in 'Aapla Mahanagar', Marathi News Paper published from Mumbai.
He has also written articles on visual art periodically for Maharashtra Times.
He has Presented a Lecture : Homage to V.S. Gaitonde at Mohile Parikh Center for Visual Art, NCPA in 2003
Mahendra Damle obtained his Degree in Drawing and painting from Sir J.J. School of art and then Masters in Portraiture from same school in 1994. He has also done PG diploma in Aesthetics from University of Mumbai.
He was awarded the M.V. Dhurandar Memorial Fund Prize, All India Fine art Exhibition, Bombay Art Society in 1994
His Selected Awards also include Camlin prizes at annual exhibition , Sir J.J. School of art in 1991 & 1994 in a row.
Mahendra Damle's group shows were held between 1991 to 1994 with Museum of fine arts, Chandigerh in second Indian Biennale ; Bombay Art Society ; North Zone cultural center, Udaipur, and Annual Exhibition of Sir J.J. School of Art.
He has attended Camps and Worshops, at Udaipur, North Zone Cultural Center conducted by Sir J.J. School of Art in 1993, workshop for upcoming artist conducted by Artist Center in 1992 and Workshop at Mohile parikh Center for Visual Art, NCPA on 1990/91.

He has vast teaching experience as a visiting Lecturer at Sir J.J. School of Art (1994 to date), L.S.
